File Formats

PDF	Portable Document Format, a cross-platform format readable from any computer using a freely available viewer. This is the best file to download for printing purposes. Unless otherwise indicated, this is default format for documents downloadable from this site.
HTML	Common web page format (Hypertext Markup Language) for viewing in a web browser.
RTF	Rich Text Format, a marginally cross-platform format readable from most computers using word processing software. Graphics, fonts, and formatting are not necessarily reproduced consistently. Sometimes useful for working documents that need to be easily editable.
TXT	Text Format, completely cross-platform format readable from all computers but missing a great deal of formating clues and all graphics. Sometimes necessary for text only venues such as email or for editing purposes when RTF is not supported.
